Memorial Day — My Dad: 1904-1990

My Dad was a remarkable man, one of a bit of mystery, great intellect, a sense of adventure and one who served in the Marine Corps, lying about his age and joining when he was about 14. He served in Santo Domingo, Haiti, China and World War II. Between all of that, he wrote for several newspapers, winning a Pulitzer back in the 20s for a series about the Klan and its relationship with a Governor.
