It is a Saturday and my dog woke me at 6, which is actually a bit late for me to rise on any morning. However, I thought that I might have hit a record this AM, but, as they say, alas…
Today will be quiet and I’ll do little but watch old movies on television and perhaps a bit of the Bay Hill. But it will, no doubt, be interrupted by the Tea Party folks who are having rally, replete with Sarah Palin about an hour from here.
These folks are truly getting far too much publicity, as is she. They seem not to have an ounce of humanity or compassion in them on the Administration’s Health Care Reform agenda. After all, who the hell can be against, at bare minimum, all children being eligible for health insurance.
It will, of course, all quite down as it did with Medicare back in 1965 or so. But it galls me that this woman, who looks just a bit better than a two bit whore and is half as intelligent, has any constituency at all. And it no longer amuses me that she is out there politicking as I fear, given the apparent and general stupidity of the American public, she might see her way clear to the White House one day.
We’re fighting wars where are soldiers are dying and these folks are protesting an issue that will keep people alive? Please.
