Ungrateful, redux

It takes a long time to know someone’s character.  Someone once told me that her grandmother told her that one had to share a barrel of salt with someone before the character of the other was known. Very long.

While it is a week from being over (my attorney will send a check out next week), it remains a challenge to not succumb entirely to my anger over this matter. Though I clearly erred and much of my anger is self-directed, there still is that directed at this former client.

Were I to give him the benefit of the doubt and say it’s, in part, the economy, I am reticent to do so because of the vituperative notes he and his wife have sent. I am, indeed, “bigger” than that, but there are, I suppose, times for self-indulgence (and, perhaps, too many commas).
