Who are these newsreaders at MSNBC? Some blonde this morning defined “perky” news, chatting with her hands and asking questions a 15 year old would be embarassed to pose.
Then, “Meet the Press,” and the usual dodges from Orrin Hatch on healthcare. Chuck Schumer played the politician as well, scurry about the responses.
On the other hand, the tennis is on today, but with the likes of McEnroe and Connors gone, there’s little fun in being a spectator. Perhaps they should return to wood racquets to liven the game up.
Then there’s Social Security. Today AP reported that “Millions of older people face shrinking Social Security checks next year, the first time in a generation that payments would not rise. The trustees who oversee Social Security are projecting there won’t be a cost of living adjustment (COLA) for the next two years. That hasn’t happened since automatic increases were adopted in 1975.”
Ain’t life grand?
