Foreclosures

In my neighborhood, there are 162 homes in foreclosure, according to www.trulia.com. My city has 13 percent unemployment. It has gone from dreadful to horrific.

The income gap between “rich and poor,” notwithstanding campaign promises, continues to widen, despite the fact that the “rich” aren’t quite as rich as they were a few months ago and poor John McAfee, who founded the virus software company, is being forced to sell some of his real estate, most of it, in fact, as his cash is down to $1 million.

On the other hand, as you probably have read, the folks who run those financial institutions we bailed out want huge bonuses for the fine jobs they’ve done and the Obama Administration, while it might take “humbrage” to this, will probably let it go, just as it has even slapping these so-called “executives” on the hand for their roles in the financial meltdown. Healthcare, of course, is fast going down the tube, though something will probably pass which the Administration will call a “solid beginning” and a “win” of sorts. Increasing numbers of “patriots” are exercising their rights to bear arms in public, which scares the hell out of me, but probably does a world of good for those specializing in penal implants.

And the little guy remains in a world of apprension, as there seems no one, as usual, looking out for him.
