…but I’m wondering why Guantanamo was just about the first order of business in the new Administration. I’m among those who wanted it closed; but I can’t get around the fact that economy remains our most pressing matter, a national emergency, yet I’ve seen little thus far. To me, it seems the Guantanamo issue was a sinecure to those inside the so-called “beltway,” or the smaller and euphemistically characterized contingent of the Democratic party, the “more progressive” wing, to which I belong. But, this was not the first decision I wanted to hear first.
On the other hand, we’re just into the first week of this Administration…
