I am disappointed in President-Elect Obama. There’s simply no leadership now and with almost a month to go until the new Administration, I would have hoped there’d be some leadership. In its stead, only a proxy on the Sunday news shows, who said little, if anything about future plans.
This is supposed be new politics and while I want our new President to succeed, my fear is that it will be simply “politics (or Washington), as usual.” There are no leaders speaking out; no politicians even trying to quell our nation.
So many are hurting; anxiety ridden about jobs, dollars, losing their homes and there seems no relief in sight. I know, from experience, this situation will turn, but I also surmise that for it to do so it needs the hope and confidence of the people. It’s not there, it seems.
