Don’t be remarkably excited about a five percent rise in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Remember, it was Wall Street, with the blessings of George Bush, that got us into this mess. So that judgement’s out the window.
The disclaimer: I like Obama, supported him, voted for him and I want him to succeed. And certainly I know that we can have only “one President.” But at this point, we have none. I want to see some leadership somewhere. If not that, inspiration from our President-Elect; that which we saw when he was campaigning.
Unfortunately, now it seems as if he’s being “handled.” While I hope I’m wrong, I fear the same old Beltway politics.
