Gasoline

I read today that gas is below a couple of bucks a gallon in 23 states and that price of barrel of oil is under $50. This is the sign of a bad economy? For whom? I have to drive a couple of hundred miles today and it’s going to cost me half of what it did a few weeks ago. Oil company fat cats will continue to get their big salaries, just waiting to pop prices up again in about six months.

But us consumers, always left holding the bag, still haven’t smartened up. What do you want to be that with gas prices what they are today and big SUVs sitting on lots all over the nation at prices even below what might be called “distressed,” we’re going to go out an buy ‘em. Oh, on the other hand, probably only if we have cash as there is no credit for consumers these days.
